Ring-a-diggi-dong, what’s going on?! The utterly cheesy, yet strangely infectious, “Wake up the world” is the lead track for this latest collection of Quake repeats. Some of the repeats are from really old albums, going as far back as Quake Trance Best 5.
The album is mixed by DJ Murauchi, who also contributes the album’s sole new song.

I don’t follow Studio Ghibli as close as I should, so few of these tracks are familiar to me. I guess that’s for the best. After all, they could’ve just remixed “Ponyo” again.
(Hapikoa) Happy Core*Speed 1

“Hapikoa” is Japanese shorthand for “Happy Hardcore.” Although, with all of the anime themes on this CD they should’ve just called it Anime*Core. Hearty Inc. will be producing most of the album, with some backup from Disko Warp. Disko Warp Pete has mentioned that he’ll be contributing 6 tracks/remixes to the album, out of 21 total tracks. Judging by the tentative list, the album will be about 50% anime themes and 50% original songs.
Being an anime compilation, it has the requisite star in the title and, of course, the mandatory “Ponyo” cover. My love for “Naraku no Hana” knows no bounds, however, so color me interested.
And for those wondering, this was the other real release I was alluding to on April Fools’ Day. It was originally supposed to be called Happy Hardcore! Super Speed.

Darn, none of the trance remixes made it. 1886 yen also seems strangely expensive for only 8 songs. If you really want this, my advice is to just wait for it to show up on iTunes. Chances are it’ll be much cheaper there.

Are you ready for a Summer Story? The early track list is out for this year’s edition of Natsu Monogatari, and it’s chock full of anime and J-euro, much like last year’s release. On the plus side, there’s also brand new eurobeat from Italian labels, as well as Dancemania classics.

New songs and remixes! Of course, there are still plenty of repeats, but I think the new material looks worthwhile enough. I’ve particularly grateful for a new “Holylance” remix instead of having to endure the Texas Boys or Crystal remix yet again.
Judging by the titles alone, “Healing Place” and “Open Your Eyes (Perfect Stream vs. MK Uplifting Remix)” should be great, peaceful music to listen to in the background.
Super Anime Remix Vol. 3

Not a bad final list, with plenty of songs that haven’t been covered by Quake (at least not yet). “Lion” is a repeat from Super Anime Remix Touge, but everything else is new.
Disc 1 is a non-stop mix, while disc 2 contains the full versions.
Exit Tunes presents Vocalostar

Vocarhythm 2 has been canceled, only to be replaced by Vocalostar. Presumably it’ll be similar to Vocarhythm, with songs featuring vocals by Vocaloid superstar Hatsune Miku. I’ve included the tentative list for Vocarhythm 2 below, but the list for Vocalostar will probably be different.
