OreutaOreuta ~Around 30 J-Rock Non-Stop Cover~
Artist: N.O.-SYO feat. Sin
Release Date: 6/24/09
Price: 2381 yen

I’d been wondering why N.O.-SYO had seemingly disappeared from Exit Trance the last few months, and it turns out the reason is he’s been busy working on this album. The god of rock trance takes on classics from the likes of Bo?wy, Complex, and Glay. Visit the official site for samples and more info.

Anime NitroAnime Nitro*Itaoto Mix!
Release Date: 6/24/09
Price: 1905yen

kors k + K-On = KO! PREget Music have put up a website for Anime Nitro with samples for all of the tracks as well as a special 12-minute crossfade medley: Anime Nitro Official Site. The kors k remix of “Don’t say ‘lazy'” sounds amazing, as does the PDC remix of “Lion.” I’m surprised that some of the later songs are more jazz than trance, though.

The album is already out of stock at Amazon, who claim that it’ll take 1-2 months to get a copy. Dunno what the situation is at CDJapan or HMV. As for digital versions, King Beat have put up tracks from PREget in the past. The only problem is that King Beat haven’t updated in a month, leading me to believe they’re either on a really long vacation or worse, out of business. 🙁

Edit: I’ve been informed that the official romanization for the title is “Itaoto Mix!” and not “Itaon Mix!” which is what CDJapan was listing it as.

Summer Sales!
icon1 DanceMaster | icon2 Site News | icon4 06 29th, 2009| icon32 Comments »

Lots of great summer sales going on at various retailers. Don’t miss out on your chance to support your favorite music and save some dough in the process.

CDJapan: 2009 Summer Coupon Offer
Enter your e-mail address to receive a 500 yen coupon. Note that there’s a misprint in the description. It claims that the coupon is only valid for orders over 5,000 yen, but the minimum is really 3,000 yen. The e-mail address you enter must be linked to your CDJapan account.

I recommend using the coupon on Natsu Monogatari, or Wa Euro Best + Love House Extra. For Exit Trance fans, you can’t go wrong with the epic combination of Cinema Covers 2 + Speed Anime Trance Best 7.

HMV: All CD’s x10 points!
HMV Japan usually only offers 1 point for every 100 yen spent, or 1%. However, for a limited time they’re giving away 10 points for every 100 yen, which is an astounding 10% back. ALL CDs are eligible, but the campaign only lasts until July 1, so get orderin’!

HMV: 2 JP Edition CDs at 20% Off!
Not as good as their previous 3 CD’s at 23% off offer, but still a good deal, especially in combination with their x10 points offer. This time most albums released before December 2008 are included. A good time to complete your Exit Trance, Dancemania, or SEB collections.

Also keep an eye out for a shelf-clearing sale of my own coming soon. I’ll mostly be offering Dancemania albums, but I will have a few other trance and eurobeat albums for sale as well.

DanceBuchiage Parance #9 (Haishin Gentei Mix)
Release Date: 7/8/09
Price: 1905 yen

Victor Japan aren’t usually known for putting their albums up for download, so this comes as a bit of a surprise. The track list is mostly the same as the physical release, except with 5 tracks omitted (Caramelldansen and a few Zipang tracks, so no big loss). It’s unknown if the downloads will be of full versions or if it’ll be another non-stop mix. I’m crossing my fingers for full versions; the 2 bad techno mix of “Iteza” is 2 good.

Edit: It looks like the digital release has been canceled. 🙁

Speed Anime M@sterSpeed Anime M@ster ~Anison Master~*
Release Date: 6/24/09
Price: 1900 yen

This came out a few days ago, but for those still on the fence, someone has uploaded an album medley to YouTube. A different brand of euro than usual, but there’s some mighty fine hyper techno near the end. All of the art you see in the video is included in the booklet, by the way.

The list above below isn’t quite complete, as it turns out. Apparently there are three secret bonus tracks.

Natsu Monogatari presents Wa Euro Best
Release Date: 8/5/09
Price: 1886 yen

Wow, we’re getting more than one Dancemania release this year. O_O The title translates to Summer Story presents J-Euro Best, which can only mean one thing: repeats. It’s mostly old Akiba Koubou stuff, with some Misa and pachislot songs thrown in for good measure.

We are getting a few new Akiba Koubou songs, though. “Ai wo Torimodose” and “Cat’s Eye” have yet to appear on any other compilations. And though it’s not listed here, there’s also supposed to be a new Rumi Itabashi song titled “True Love Forever.” I’m crossing my fingers for new Misa as well.

Who knows? Maybe if this sells well they’ll release an Italo-Euro Best. They have just enough new Italian-produced eurobeat from the last few years to fill a compilation.

Cinema Covers 2Exit Trance presents Zenbei No. 1 Cinema Covers 2
Release Date: 7/1/09
Price: 1905 yen

Oh. Em. Gee. Ghostbusters! Raiders’ March!! WONKA’s WELCOME SONG!!! The final list for Cinema Covers 2 looks simply amazing. There are plenty of obvious picks but also quite a few obscure themes. Along with the aforementioned Willy Wonka theme, we’ll also be getting songs from Home Alone(!), The Last Samurai, and even Dinosaur. Sadly, there’s nothing as potentially inappropriate as “Theme from Schindler’s List” this time around.

The usual gang of Exit Trance artists will once again be doing the covers. Ryu* gets two tracks this time, one of them being “Ghostbusters.” Meanwhile, Dizzi Mystica gets the largest share with three tracks under his belt. I loved what he did with “The Imperial March,” so it makes sense that he’ll be doing the main Star Wars theme. The themes from The Dark Knight, and Pretty Woman are pretty inspired choices, though.

The biggest and best surprise is the appearance of N.O.-SYO. He was strangely absent from the first release, but he’ll be making his Cinema Covers debut with two tracks. N.O.-SYO’s distinct brand of rock-trance is sure to spice up “Raider’s March,” but I’m very curious to hear how “The Way of the Sword” will turn out.

Cinema Covers 2 isn’t entirely flawless, unfortunately. “Axel F” is present. AGAIN. B.U.S. did a great job with the theme on the first release, and Ron Rockwell’s electro-house version is nothing special. And isn’t “Welcome to Jurassic Park” essentially the same as the main theme that was already on the first Cinema Trance? They even have Starving Trancer doing it again.

SATB 7Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 7
Release Date: 7/1/09
Price: 1905 yen

Shut Up and Explode! Not only does it have the best title ever, but it’s also a fantastic song that should make for an excellent trance cover. Interesting that they’re having Yuki do it, though, since the original had male vocals. (Edit: I’m an idiot. I was confusing Yurie with Yuki.)

In even more exciting news, “Hatena de Wasshoi” finally makes its debut and it’s by Ryu*! Hooray for maximum Bemani synergy!

Also intriguing is a new collaboration by DJ Uto and Starving Trancer, with Mayumi Morinaga doing vocals. If all that wasn’t enough, there’s even a Ryu* remix! Quake uploaded it to Nico Nico to promote the album:

As far as I can tell, the version on the album won’t be the Ryu* remix, which raises the question of exactly when and where the Ryu* remix will appear.

And no, I’m not going to comment on the cover art.

Anime NitroAnime Nitro*Itaoto Mix!
Release Date: 6/24/09
Price: 1905yen

Anime? Check. Star? Check. Exclamation point? Check. Sousei no Aquarion? Check. Yup, it’s another anime dance compilation. At least the cover is relatively classy.

Redalice, kors k, and DJ Sharpnel are among the artists involved, so this should be of interest to J-Core fans.

Happy Core Speed 2
Happy Hardcore*Speed 2 ~Omikoshi Trance~
Release Date: 7/15/09
Price: 2500 yen

The Half Polish tracks are by Disko Warp, so it looks like they did end up with all of the “Western” tracks. I’m kinda disappointed “Oklahoma Mixer” didn’t make it, though. 🙁

I think the guy in the center of the cover is the singer of the final track on the CD.
