Gakkou Trance 5
Exit Trance presents Gakkou Trance 5 Jigenme
Release Date: 8/5/09
Price: 1905 yen

The fifth release in the Gakkou Trance series. The last one had graduation as a theme, so one can only wonder what this one will be about.

Exit Trance presents J-Pop Covers 90’s
Release Date: 8/5/09
Price: 1905 yen

This is also being listed as “R35 J Covers” or “R30 J Covers,” but I think “J-Pop Covers 90’s” is the final title.

Vocalostar
Exit Tunes presents Vocalostar
Release Date: 6/17/09
Price: 1905 yen

Quake’s really been pumping out the doujin collections recently, and with good reason. Fun fact: Exit Tunes presents Vocarhythm was Quake’s best-selling album this year. In fact, it even outsold Hime Trance Anime*Mix. Okay, maybe that fact’s not so much fun as it is a sad reminder of the state of trance in Japan. Dead Ball P Best and Stardom are also selling pretty well, so expect a lot more Vocaloid-themed albums in the future.

QTB 21Quake Trance Best 21
Release Date: 6/17/09
Price: 1905 yen

Almost half of the album is taken from the Quake News releases. o_O Not everything on the early list made it (no Axel F!!), and there’s a surprising lack of DJ Gollum despite his dominance on QTB 20.

UmaUma Trance 5Exit Trance presents UmaUma Dekiru Trance wo Tsukutte Mita 5 – Hyper Kenja Time
Release Date: 6/17/09
Price: 1905 yen

Run for cover! The Apocalypse is coming! At least, that’s the only possible explanation for “Caramelldansen” not being included on this fifth release in the UmaUma Trance series. Truthfully, I’m a bit disappointed that there won’t be another remix of the song that refuses to die. After the insanity of the IOSYS feat. Beat Mario remix I was kind of looking forward to see how they could possibly top it.

As for the tracks that will be appearing, I don’t recognize any of them at first glance. I must be really behind on my music games, though, because I had no idea The Idolm@ster started off as a video game. ^^;

BGM Electro House 2
Exit Tunes presents Sagyouyou BGM Electro House 2
Release Date: 6/17/09
Price: 1905 yen

This was originally supposed to come out May 20, but was delayed to mid-June. Apparently they needed the time to fit in as many Tecktonik Best repeats as possible.

TRB 18Trance Rave Best XVIII
Release Date: 6/24/09
Price: 1900 yen

Mostly Quake repeats. In fact, track 7 already appeared on TRB 17!

That said, Victor made good on their promise to include original tracks from Japanese DJs. We’ve got a new, original Delaction track as well a new track from Los Hermanos. The previously unknown DJ Kenny also makes his TRB debut.

Really good stuff. I hope we get to hear more from DJ Kenny in the future.

Speed Anime M@sterSpeed Anime M@ster ~Anison Master~*
Release Date: 6/24/09
Price: 1900 yen

Formerly known as “Super Anime Beat,” the title has since changed to “Speed Anime M@ster.” Nothing on the early list made it to the final one, and it looks like Quake’s artists may not involved. Additionally, Akiba Koubou will be contributing quite a few tracks. So, basically, none of the details I mentioned for “Super Anime Beat” ended up being true. Damn you, Victor.

Despite the name change it does look like eurobeat is still the primary focus. Kei finally returns to Victor compilations with two new eurobeat covers. As mentioned, some tracks are licensed from Akiba Koubou, but they haven’t been repeated too extensively. I’m not entirely sure who produced the other tracks, but the artists are, umm, “idols.”

Anime Nitro*Itaoto Mix!
Release Date: 6/24/09
Price: 1905yen

This caught my eye recently. Released by an independent label, it’ll feature primarily trancecore remixes of anime themes. Unsurprisingly, that means “Sousei no Aquarion.” What’s interesting are the scheduled artists, which include Redalice and DJ Sharpnel.

Super Anime Remix Techno PopSuper Anime Remix presents Techno Pop
Release Date: 6/17/09
Price: 2381 yen

At first glance it looks like there are a lot of repeats, but I’m fairly sure these are all new tracks or remixes. It appears that all of the tracks will be full-length versions. They better be if there are only 12 tracks in all.

Super Anime Remix Best
Release Date: 7/22/09
Price: 2857 yen

The first SAR came out less than a year ago, yet Dreamusic have already deemed it necessary to do a best-of release. Because everyone was really clamoring to hear “Sousei no Aquarion” again. That said, at least it has Tugumi’s excellent cover of “Naraku no Hana.”

I’m not entirely sure what the two CDs will have. My best guess is that both will be non-stop mixes. Meanwhile, the DVD will contain ParaPara routines for the most overexpos– err, best Akiba Koubou songs.

Happy Hardcore*Speed 2 ~Omikoshi Trance~
Release Date: 7/15/09
Price: 2500 yen

Ooooooooohhh, I get it now. “Mikoshi” refers to portable Shinto shrines that are often carried during Japanese festivals, and this album’s theme will be popular festival/folk songs. Yeah, it’s a bit of an unconventional theme for a speed album (though Speed Buyuuden was arguably more random), but at least it’s not anime again! The songs won’t only be from Japan, either. Also included will be popular folk songs from Israel, America, and even Finland. I’m kinda wondering if the three “Western” tracks will be the ones from Disko Warp.

12 tracks are planned at the moment. That may not seem like a lot, but apparently they’ll all be full versions, unlike the first Happy Hardcore*Speed which was a non-stop mix.

Side note: Pony Canyon have the subtitle listed simply as “Mikoshi Trance.” Technically the “o” is only there as an honorific, but I’ll keep it anyway.

Happy Core SpeedHappy Hardcore*Speed

Another quick update with track lengths. The whole thing clocks in at around 66 minutes, which isn’t too bad. Hopefully Pony Canyon will put up full versions on iTunes, though.

Piano StoryGirls Night Out ~Piano Story~ compiled by Piano Master
Release Date: 7/1/09
Price: 2362 yen

Girls Night Out is the name of a series parties held in Japan targeted at women. Apparently they mostly play house music, as evidenced by the recent tie-up compilation, Girls Night Out ~Spice Up Your Life!~. “Piano Story” is a sub-release in the new Girls Night Out series, this time focusing on piano house songs compiled by Piano Master. The album will include songs from many hit piano dance acts, including Dance Music Company and The Standard Club. It’ll even include the elusive piano version of kagura’s “sui-ren.”

Anison Plus
Anison Plus × Anime*Dance Collection
Release Date: 7/1/09
Price: 2381 yen

Originally scheduled for release on June 17, it’s since been delayed to July 1. Anison (Anime Song) Plus is a Japanese TV show that showcases anime themes including live performances of said themes. This is a pretty huge coup for FARM, as I’m sure the TV show will be promoting the CD extensively.

One of the scheduled songs is a dance version of the “MapleStory” theme song. 25 songs are planned in all.
