Host Para PlatinumHost Para Platinum ~Host Paradise~
Release Date: 8/5/09
Price: 2838 yen

A few repeats from Mega Trance 10 as well as tracks from older Mega Trance releases (Poison? Really?!) make up about 1/4 of the release. House/R&B/Reggae/Psychedelic/Eurobeat tracks make up the rest of the album. Nothing too interesting, except for a new Tsukasa cover of “Shuuketsu no Sono e” from the latest Evangelion series. Hopefully the fact that she’s covering another anime song means a Hime Trance Anime*Mix! 2 is in the works.

Speaking of Anime*Mix!, they’ve also licensed mint’s awesome cover of “Red fraction.”

No mention of what’ll be on the DVD yet. I imagine it’ll have a bunch of hosts, umm, hosting.

Stardom 2SX (Signal eXtreme)
Release Date: 8/5/09
Price: 2286 yen

DJ Shimamura is a prominent J-core artist that once appeared on the Dancemania Speed series under the pseudonym, “DJ Sin.” He’s since went on to appear on Victor’s Trance Rave albums as well as Quake’s Exit Trance series. His first full album comes out this August, and you can hear ssamples on his MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/djshimamura

I’m not sure if CDJapan will end up stocking the CD, but if they don’t you can always get it from here: http://www.j-core.biz/

Exit Tunes presents Kamikyoku wo Utatte Mita
Release Date: 9/2/09
Price: 1905 yen

Guh? I thought the UmaUma Trance series already took care of these types of songs. “Utatte Mita” apparently refers to amateur singing, so this could just be a collection of songs from NicoNico.

Pre-order at CDJapan.

House Addict ~J-Pop Covers~
Release Date: 9/2/09
Price: 1905 yen

Strange that they didn’t include this in the “Glamorous House” brand. CDJapan’s description says it’ll have house covers of the latest J-pop hits. Not much info other than that, I’m afraid.

Pre-order at CDJapan.

Girls Night Out ZIPGirls Night Out * ZIP
Release Date: 8/26/09

KOKO SOKO. No, not the Saifam cover, but the original Smile.dk version! Dreamusic have been known to license Western artists before — they released the Carlito albums in Japan — so I’m wondering if this means there’ll be a Japanese release of “Party Around the World” after all. That’s pure speculation of course, but it’s still great to see Smile.dk on Japanese compilations again.

In other news, “Lucky Number” by the Swedish triplets Three is supposedly produced by Overhead Champion.

DanceAround 40 Eurobeat
Release Date: 7/22/09
Price: 2381 yen

The non-stop mix is confirmed to be by MST. I guess that explains the red cover. One would think that MST would have run out of ways to mix these songs into each other by now.

EMI also have the TV commercial up on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrsWom1lyso. Interesting that they do what appears to be a little ParaPara in it.

Quake Trance presents Quake News #06
Release Date: 8/5/09
Price: 999 yen

The series will no longer be limited to trance alone, and will start including electro-house as well. Once again, the series has switched to full-length versions instead of radio edits, so it’s really not that bad of a deal.

Gakkou Trance 5
Exit Trance presents Gakkou Trance 5 Jigenme
Release Date: 8/5/09
Price: 1905 yen

Quite a few repeats on this fifth release in the Gakou Trance series. “Dschinghis Khan” is pretty surprising, though perhaps not as exciting as “Hero (Holding Out for a Hero).” Shouldn’t that have been on Cinema Covers instead?

Kitto…Sayonara (CD Single)

Artist: Lady Bird feat. Sara
Release Date: 8/26/09
Price: 1300 yen (CD+DVD) or 1000 yen (CD Only)

Lady Bird, composed of DJ Ten and Ace Closer, made a huge splash with their debut single featuring Son Wei, “Sweet Song.” Immediately afterward, they held auditions looking for a new vocalist and ended up choosing the 18-year-old Sara. No idea if the song will be another up-tempo dance track, but here’s hoping DJ Kaya returns with another fantastic remix.

Mostly the same as the early list, except with “Respectable” added. I *think* Mitsugu Matsumoto is the one doing the mixing.
