Quake Trance presents Quake News #09
Release Date: 11/4/09
Price: 999 yen
Nothing very interesting on this 9th installment of the Quake News series. Unless, of course, you’ve been dying for another remix of “Axel F.”

Exit Trance presents Famitrance EX
Release Date: 11/4/09
Price: 1905 yen
Despite the title being an allusion to Famicom, Famitrance isn’t limited solely to Famicom themes. Final Fantasy is well represented, with at least 5 tracks ranging from VII to X-2. All the big vocal themes from “Eyes on Me” to “Sutaki da ne” are covered, along with a few instrumental tracks.
Mother, Sakura Taisen, and Nobunaga’s Ambition get a healthy two tracks each, while it appears that Dragon Quest is only getting one. It would’ve been interesting if they had licensed a Bemani song by Ryu*, but I’m more than happy with him taking on the Tetris theme.
While the track list does look very strong and varied, I can’t help but be disappointed by the lack of Mario or Zelda themes. And what’s up with the random Goonies track? Oh well, still very much looking forward to this.
Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance Best 8
Release Date: 11/4/09
Price: 1905 yen
The eighth release in the Speed Anime Trance Best series. K-On! gets two tracks once again, including the lead track. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Kanamemo also get two tracks each.
After working hard on his debut album, Ryu* returns to Exit Trance with an original song sung by Maki.
Anime Nitro*Itaoto Mix! vol. 2
Release Date: 12/9/09
Price: 1905yen
The follow-up release to Anime Nitro comes out this December. K-On! and Evangelion fans should be happy with the early list, as it includes two themes from each of those series. The rest of the list seems to be a good mix of older and more recent tracks.
No word on what artists will be involved, but I’d expect many of the contributors to the first Anime Nitro to show up again.
Anime House Project ~Oshare Selection~ Vol. 1
Release Date: 10/28/09
Price: 2000 yen
This is the fifth announced CD in the Anime House series (though it’ll actually be the third one released). This particular release will be produced by Somatrope. “Oshare” means “stylish” or “fashionable.” I haven’t a clue what that has to do with the anime themes announced so far. Interestingly, there are quite a few tracks with English lyrics, including “Genesis of Aquarion.”

Koakuma Magic #2
Release Date: 11/25/09
Price: 1900 yen
Koakuma Ageha is a Japanese fashion magazine, similar to egg. They’ve collaborated with various labels in the past to release compilations like Koakuma Trance (Universal), Koakuma Musee Trance (Quake), and Koakuma Magic (Victor). If it isn’t immediately obvious, this will be a sequel to Koakuma Magic, which was mostly eurobeat with a touch of trance. No real announced tracks yet, though they have released a list of models who will be singing some new tracks. Otherwise I’d expect repeats from Buchiage Parance 10.
Nico Nico Kouhaku 2009 – Eurobeat Japan Best
Release Date: 12/9/09
Price: 2405 yen
Upcoming J-Euro release from Dreamusic, the label behind Super Anime Remix. After the success of Wa Euro Best, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that other labels are trying to capitalize on the genre’s renewed popularity. The artists listed below aren’t confirmed yet. I’m under the assumption that they’ll be using the existing remixes, but will have new vocalists from Nico Nico. Of course, it’s also possible that they’ll be cheap and use the existing vocals as well.
It’s not all repeats, however. There are at least three tracks that haven’t appeared on SAR.
The Best of Cover Ne-Ho meets Miku
Artist: Ne-Ho meets Miku
Release Date: 10/21/09
Price: 1900 yen
A new Miku compilation from FARM Records. Lots of anime standards included, and by standards I mean overexposed songs that no one wants to hear anymore.
Evacuate the Dancefloor
Artist: Cascda
Release Date: 10/21/09
Price: 2000 yen
No new DJ Uto or DJ Yoshinori remixes. 🙁 Instead, we’re stuck with an electro remix and a piano house remix from The Standard Club.
Quake Trance presents Quake News #10
Release Date: 12/2/09
Price: 999 yen
The 10th and possibly final release in the Quake News series. The early list probably isn’t too indicative of the final one, seeing as some of these songs have already appeared on previous QN releases.
Exit Trance presents Eki Tra
Release Date: 12/2/09
Price: 1905 yen
The title translates to “Station Trance.” I was looking forward to covers of songs like “Long Train Runnin’,” “Last Train to London,” and “The Loco-motion,” but apparently the theme isn’t trains. 🙁 Instead, the album will have something to do with “Hassha Melodies,” which are the jingles played at train stations when trains arrive/depart. For example, here’s “Motteke! Sailor Fuku” done in the Hassha Melody style:

Exit Trance presents Speed Anime Trance BL
Release Date: 12/2/09
Price: 1905 yen
44% of voters thought that Speed Anime Trance BL was not a real, upcoming Quake title. After all, Quake have done plenty of oddly themed albums in the past, but BL? Unfortunately or not, Quake have indeed decided to go there. Their latest SATB sub-series will target fujoushi and feature songs from BL anime series. Hmm, does this mean the first ever guy on a Speed Anime Trance Best cover? That should make for an interesting cover….
The answer to the quiz, by the way, is Zenbei No. 1 Telebi Trance. There isn’t an album of TV themes in the works right now.
Exit Tunes presents Supernova
Release Date: 12/2/09
Price: 1905 yen
Yup, it’s another Vocaloid compilation. It seems that this one will only have never-before-heard songs, however, unlike the previous compilations that just collected songs that were already on Nico Nico.
Pre-order at CDJapan.
Super Euro Freak Vol. 2
Release Date: 10/09
Price: 9.99 USD
Super Euro Freak Vol. 2 is now available for download at iTunes and Hardbeat Digital. You can get it cheaper on iTunes (9.99 USD), but you can download it in a variety of formats, including FLAC, from Hardbeat Digital if you’re willing to shell out 20 USD.
If you click on the iTunes link, it may say it’s “not currently available in the US store.” If it does, then do a search for “super euro freak,” then click the Buy Album button and you should be able to get it anyway (it worked for me at least).
Dreamscape* (Single)
Release Date: 10/7/09
Price: 952 yen
The debut single from singer Mai Kotone, who has contributed numerous tracks to the Anime*Dance series. It doesn’t appear that CDJapan will be stocking this item, but you can get it from HMV or Amazon.
