90's J Covers 2Exit Trance presents 90’s J Covers 2
Release Date: 4/21/10
Price: 1905 yen

Disco da Gama, one of Exit Trance’s newest artists, gets the most tracks with a total of 4. Although I lament the recent lack of Dizzi Mystica and B.U.S., it is nice to see some of the other Exit Trance artists getting their due.

So, umm, who the heck is Mitchy?

The follow-up release to last year’s N.O.-SYO album, Oreuta. Whereas Oreuta focused on J-Rock, this new release will feature J-Pop covers. Most exciting is the fact that popular Hime Trance artists Tsukasa and Kei will be appearing with new tracks!

History of Eurobeat 1The History of Eurobeat, Vol. 1
Release Date: 3/22/10
Price: $8.99+

LED are … back? This new LED compilation was recently released on iTunes and other download services. Many of these songs have been available for a while now, but the last track caught my eye. It’s titled “In Rain and Sunshine,” and the artist is listed as Deja Vu & Tasmin. At first I thought that they had licensed an Almighty track for this compilation. However, the song is clearly eurobeat, and doesn’t sound like Almighty’s Tasmin. Could this be a new production, or just something left over from years ago?

Via Enatime.

Victor never cease to amaze me when it comes to repeats. This latest cash grab features Euro Panic! hits from a decade ago. Would it really kill them to license new tracks from Saifam?

Exit Trance presents UmaUma Dekiru Trance wo Tsukutte Mita 8 – Hansei Shitema~su
Release Date: 6/2/10
Price: 1905 yen (Regular Edition) or 3143 yen (Limited Edition)

The Japanese Final Fantasy XIII theme song is the highlight of this eighth release in the UmaUma Trance series. Other known tracks include the Cooking Idol OP and a couple of repeats from SATB 9. Don’t be surprised to see “Scatman,” though.

The limited edition comes with a Duel Maid figure of Miko Hutae, who I believe was the cover girl for UmaUma Trance 3.

Release Date: 11/15/09
Price: 1905 yen (CD) or 1500 yen (iTunes)

The theme of this release is “Great Friends,” or popular anime themes that people in their 30s grew up with. That really doesn’t make sense, though, since Lucky*Star was pretty recent. And Kamen Rider isn’t even anime.

Mega Denpa 1Anison 100 Renpatsu Mega Denpa ww Shokyuu Hen ~Hajimete no Anison~
Release Date: 10/15/09
Price: 1905 yen (CD) or 1500 yen (iTunes)

Oh boy, how does one even begin to explain this series? I think Denpa no Sekai explains it better than I ever could:

Yokohama-based @n-Guilla Sounds and their intense project ????ww (Mega Denpa Ha Ha!) is something that definitely deserves your attention. Between October 2009 and July 2010, the new circle/group/label will be releasing one 10-song album per month, for a total of 100 songs in 10 months!

The schedule has been thrown off a bit, so don’t expect them to release all 10 albums by July 2010. But yeah, they’re planning on doing 100 anime song remixes, with genres ranging from Happy Hardcore to Eurobeat to House to Rock to Jazz to… well, you get the point. Each album’s song selection will be based on a particular theme. The theme of this first release, according to the subtitle, is “Elementary Level Compilation ~ My First Anime Song.”

Anime Love HardcoreDisko Warp presents Anime Love Hardcore
Release Date: 4/5/10

FRECKLES! Pretty solid selection of anime tracks, and the samples up on YouTube sound pretty good. The CD will be available at Sakuracon this weekend. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until April 5 to order the CD from the official Disko Warp website. The iTunes release will come even later, in May. Unfortunately, the iTunes release will be limited to the US only.

On a related note, Speedisko Vol. 2 was supposed to have been released in March, but it looks like it’s been pushed back to a later date.
