Quake’s success with their Vocalo- series has not been lost upon other labels. FARM takes another stab at the genre with a collection of rock-tinged vocaloid songs. Samples and a preview movie can be found at the special Vocarock collection website.
More R&B House from FARM. LUG is some sort of car thing, so it’s fitting that the album is mixed by DJ Murauchi, known for his involvement with Quake’s Aerodynamic series. Whereas Aerodynamic mostly focused on trance, this compilation mostly features house covers of popular R&B and pop songs.
Dizzi Mystica returns? On a eurobeat compilation?! ‘Tis true. While the bulk of this baseball-themed eurobeat album is handled by Akiba Koubou artists, Dizzi Mystica and kors k also make surprise appearances. As for the Akiba Koubou artists, valle blanco gets the most tracks with 5. DJ Command comes in next with 4, while Rayto gets 2 and 2bad gets only 1.
Akiba Koubou just created a YouTube account, and have put up an adorable preview video:
Party Around the World finally gets a Japanese release courtesy of Dreamusic, and they went all out for it. In addition to the first-ever release of “Butterfly ’09” on a physical CD, the Japanese edition also includes two, new bonus remixes of “Koko Soko”!! Orange Summer, who previously did a remix of “Boys” for Hime Trance 2, provides a trance remix. Meanwhile, Akiba Koubou give the track a Japanese eurobeat remix. Samples can be found at Dreamusic’s special Smile.dk website: http://www.dreamusic.co.jp/sp/smile_dk/
Billed as the “Koko, Soko, Asoko!! Song,” Smile.dk’s “Koko Soko” is making waves in Japan. It’s currently sitting at number 17 on the ZIP-FM Dance Charts and will no doubt move up even more in following weeks. Dreamusic have even put up a music video of sorts:
Oh, and even though the early list didn’t have “Heal My Broken Heart” listed, it is indeed on the final track list.
An eclectic mix of dance/house/trance covers of popular anime songs. In addition to AAA, TRF and m.o.v.e, you’ve also got non-acronym artists like Tsukasa, Happy Transmission, and mioco.
A compilation of eurobeat anime song covers. Can anyone guess who’ll be producing? Yup, that’s right, Akiba Koubou. However, there will be appearances by the likes of Ryu*, Overhead Champion, and Long-T.
“Sousei” and “Zankoku” have been announced (uggh), but so has “Naraku no Hana” (yay!).
A new house/trance cover of the classic Japanese jazz song, “Tokyo wa Yoru no Shichiji,” also known as “7:00PM Tokyo.” Thankfully, it includes dance remixes as well as a new club remake of “Kitto…Sayonara.” Also featured is a 7-minute medley of “Sweet Song,” “Kitto…” and “Tokyo.”
Akiba Koubou, Y&Co. and Plum are among the producers on this J-Euro compilation. In addition to a few J-Pop/Anime covers, there are also some original songs. The first track is a mini-mega-mix, while the rest of the tracks are full versions.
The last four tracks have already appeared on Dreamusic’s J-Euro releases but, with the exception of “God Knows…” will feature new vocals. I love DJ Command’s take on “God Knows…,” but it’s already been on way too many compilations. >_<

Debut single from Eurobeat unit, Pink Babys, which is composed of Star Fire dancers. Also includes a cover of “Dancing Hero,” the Japanese version of Angie Gold’s classic, “Eat You Up.”
Moe trance covers of J-Pop songs. I have no idea what that means. A few of the announced tracks were originally done by male singers, so maybe that means the covers will be done by “moe” girls?
