Fly Away/Burning Warriors (Single)
Artist: Team KY
Release Date: 7/20/11
Price: 952 yen
First single from the duo comprising Utatte Mita singers Kouhey and Yamadan. “Fly Away” is a new production, while “Burning Warriors” is from Super J-Euro Best Mix. Both are produced by DJ Comamnd. Strange that they chose “Burning Warriors,” since I thought that was their weakest track. “Skill” or “Garo” are much better showcases of their trademark powerful voices.
Unfortunately the single is not available at major retailers. You can order it from Animate or Toranoana, but neither will directly ship overseas. Instead, you’ll have to use a middleman service like CDJapan to order the item for you.
Bukkomi Gachi Renchan Mix ~Age Oto Euro~
Release Date: 7/13/11
Price: 1524 yen
A J-Euro compilation not produced by AKBK. o_O The samples sound pretty good, and even though the tracks have been covered to death in the past, it’s still nice to hear a different take on them. It’s available digitally at iTunes Japan, but it’s the same price as the CD release.
Natsu Euro
Release Date: 6/29/11 ? 7/13/11
Price: 1800 yen
Summer eurobeat album featuring summer-themed songs. The track list contains some repeats — it is Akiba Koubou, after all — but most of the album is composed of new material. Notable new tracks include “17 sai” and “Hot Limit.”
The album is available digitally at iTunes Japan and Amazon Japan.

Ryu 2nd Album (Tentative Title)
Artist: Ryu*
Release Date: 10/5/11
Price: 1905 yen
The follow-up to Ageha will be released this fall. No official title has been announced yet, but retailers are listing it as Ryu 2nd Album. They seem to be denying the existence of starmine.
No details yet on what songs will be included. In the meantime, why not enjoy some videos (including live performances) from Ryu*’s streaming channel: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ryu-stream-2010
Pre-order at CDJapan.

Nyoro Denpa ww ~nyoROBOtics ga Mega Denpa o Utatte Mita~
Release Date: 7/7/11
Price: 1905 yen (CD) or 1500 yen (iTunes)
It’s been exactly one year since the release of Mega Denpa 8, which was supposed to be the eighty release in a series of ten albums. Presumably the main series has been canceled, but Mobilla Knights have released a spin-off CD with songs from previous releases remade here with the robot idol group, nyoROBOtics, providing the vocals. The CD is available in Japanese stores and will also be sold at Comiket 80.
Exit Tunes presents Vocalonation

Seventh in Quake’s hit series of Vocaloid albums, following Vocarhythm, Vocalostar, Vocalolegend, Vocalogenesis, Vocaloanthems, and Vocalonexus. Comes in a special sleeve case and also includes a fake credit card, strap, and smartphone sticker. Some shops will also offer a special B2 size poster. Finally, certain shops will have exclusive bonus items such as bromides or clear posters.
Majipanee!
Artist: N.O.-SYO feat. Britney Hamada & Yukari Hyougo
Release Date: 8/3/11
Price: 1619 yen
N.O.-SYO is back with another album, this time featuring the breakout stars Britney Hamada and Yukari Hyougo. The two Pagal icons previously sang “Majipanee” on N.O.SYO’s last album, and the song was subsequently used as the ending theme for the TV show, Takarazuka ~cafe break~. Apparently it’s become popular enough to warrant an entire album of Britney and Yukari songs. Okay, technically it’s just 5 songs plus lots of remixes/instrumentals, for a total of 13 tracks.
Saifam Speed – April/May/June/July 2011
Artist: Various Artists
The latest batch of Speed tracks includes a United Forces remix of the Avril Lavigne song, “What the Hell.”
The bad news is that Saifam have apparently cut back on their download service dramatically. For the time being only the 50 most recent tracks will be available for download on their website. That means all older tracks will no longer be available directly from Saifam. Most of their back Speed catalogue is still available on Juno Downloads and DJ Download, but unfortunately some tracks are missing. For instance, SPE169 doesn’t appear to be available anywhere anymore.
SPE166 – [4:49] Price Tag (Speed Mix) / Tornados
SPE167 – [5:24] What the Hell (United Forces Hardcore Remix) / Sheldon
SPE168 – [4:36] Black & Yellow (Speedo Mix) / MC Speed
SPE169 – [?:??] Legs / Mazerati
SPE170 – [5:10] I Can Transform Ya (The Factory Speedo Mix) / MC Boy
SPE171 – [4:23] Something That I Want (Speedomix) / Speedmaster
Akiba Koubou presents Utatte Mita Collection Nodoame
Artist: Nodoame
Release Date: 7/2/11
Price: 952 yen
New collection of Utatte Mita singles from Akiba Koubou. This third single features songs from Nodoame. “Aa Mujou” “Don’t say ‘lazy'” and “Uchuu Senkan Yamato” are all resings of existing DJ Command productions. However, “Days” appears to be newly arranged by Sumijun.
Unfortunately the singles are not available at major retailers. You can order it from Animate or Toranona, but neither will directly ship overseas. Instead, you’ll have to use a middleman service like CDJapan to order the items for you.
Akiba Koubou presents Utatte Mita Collection Yamadan
Artist: Yamadan
Release Date: 7/2/11
Price: 952 yen
New collection of Utatte Mita singles from Akiba Koubou. This second single features Yamadan. “Driving Myself” by Sumijun and “Kimi ga Suki da to Skebitai” by DJ Command are brand new tracks. I just realized they updated the artwork, too, but I’m too lazy to change it 😀
Unfortunately the singles are not available at major retailers. You can order it from Animate or Toranona, but neither will directly ship overseas. Instead, you’ll have to use a middleman service like CDJapan to order the items for you.
