Utattemita Anison
Release Date: 3/7/12 ? 3/21/12
Price: 1905 yen

Uggh, based on the producers of each track it doesn’t look like there’ll be any new arrangements, much less any new songs. The first 8 tracks appear to be taken straight from Anim80s, while the remaining tracks are from previous AKBK eurobeat albums. Very disappointing. It’s also odd that they’re not branding either Utattemita release as part of the Dancemania series. The only bright side is that some of the Anim80s repeats will get longer edits.

The album will be available on Amazon Japan’s download service as well as others, but the digital version is a non-stop mix like the CD.

For those wondering, “Nazo no Jinbutsu K” is better known to Hime Trance fans as Kei. It’s just the pseudonym she uses for singing on Nico Nico.

Release Date: 3/14/12
Price: 2800 yen

This March will see the release of Super Hatsune Beat vol. 1, based on a Nico Nico Douga video that was uploaded in 2007. Odd that Avex would choose to cash in on it 5 years later o_O Anyway, the first six tracks on the CD are taken straight from the Nico Nico video. Those are followed by 5 full-length tracks from Yuuyu P. Bonus tracks include a new remix by SCP and the granddaddy of vocaloid euro, “Luka Luka Night Fever.”

The album will come with a DVD featuring a PV from Sega’s Project DIVA Arcade as well as the original Super Hatsune Beat vol. 1 music video.

First-press copies come in a special cardboard sleeve with the art on the left. The CD booklet will have the art on the right, which is a throwback to the original video. Retailer-exclusive bonuses include an A3 poster from Animate, a clear file from Tora no Ana, or an LED light keychain from Wonder Goo. Visit the official website for more info.

Best 2011 Party Hit
Release Date: 11/16/11

Re:Construction Anima Best Mix
Artist: The Illuminati
Release Date: 4/4/12
Price: 1905 yen

Here’s a series I never thought we’d hear from again. The first two releases of this Evangelion tribute series came out in 2009 and 2010. A bit odd that they’d decide to do a best mix so long after the last one. Anyway “The Illuminati” and “Threemason” are aliases for Mega Trance’s DJ U*Hey?

Geki Atsu! Drama Euro Chanbara Hen
Release Date: 3/7/12
Price: 2000 yen

The second of two Geki Atsu! CDs released yesterday. Tokuma releases for April and May have been revealed, and there are no Geki Atsu! CDs among them, so I’m hoping this won’t be the last pair of Geki Atsu! releases.

An outstanding set of arrangers has been gathered for this Samurai-themed release. Ovrar, Asahi, Beat Charger, Elementas and valle blanco return from previous releases in the Geki Atsu! series. And as with the Detective edition, this one will also feature M.Sugawara (Sugano), Dizzi Mystica and Y&Co. And if they weren’t already enough, this edition also features the debuts of katsu (Akiba Koubou), Yassie and uno (IOSYS). The only strike against this album is that it only has 14 tracks instead of the usual 15.

Geki Atsu! Drama Euro Deka Hen
Release Date: 3/7/12
Price: 2000 yen

Just a reminder that the 3rd wave of Geki Atsu! releases comes out today.

DJ Command and 2bad…will not be on this compilation. Instead, you’ll just have to settle for Sugano(!), Dizzi Mystica(!!), and Y&Co.(!!!). Yup, Akiba Koubou went all out for this series, as evidenced by the latest group of guest arrangers that they’ve assembled. Sugano had mentioned on his website that he’d be doing some work with AKBK, and Dizzi Mystica collaborated with them a few times in the past, but the inclusion of Y&Co. is quite a surprise.

Elementas, Ovrar, Asahi, Sumijun, Tks, Beat Charger, and valle blanco round out the rest of the list, so you can expect plenty of variety. Vocalists include Satsy, Kei, Mi->Na, DJ Kazma, and Hiromi. There are also a number of instrumental tracks, including 3 tracks that were also covered on EMI’s Speed Deka. Kinda disappointed there’s no Rhythm & Police, though 🙁
