Geki Atsu! Drama Euro Love Love Hen

It’s been a while since a Geki Atsu! release (May 2011 to be exact), so I thought Tokuma had abandoned the series. Well, the new year will bring not one, but TWO new releases in the Akiba Koubou-produced series. Whereas previous albums focused on anime and pachislot themes, these two new albums will instead include themes from J-Drama.

Previously known as Idol Euro. I’m not sure why they changed the name; the old one was far more descriptive. Anyway, cover art and a seemingly final track list have been released. Half of the album is composed of repeats or resings, and many of the tracks from the early list didn’t make it. Worst of all, there’s no Shihori. 🙁
Utatte Mita Collection -The Best-

Tsutaya-exclusive collection of songs from the various Utatte Mita Collection singles. Not only is it exclusive to Tsutaya, but it’s also for rental only. Seems like a strange business move. It’s almost as if they’re begging you to rent and rip the disc.

More songs revealed. Pretty much every song they’ve done since “Bye Bye Para Girl” will be included, so that’s 10 automatic repeats. To make matters worse, “Zankoku na Tenshi no These” and “Sousei no Aquarion” are also listed, so there’s a good chance those will be simple resings of the existing valle blanco versions because, you know, we haven’t heard them enough. There’s at least one new song planned, as well as a collaboration with Team KY (Kouhey and Yamadan).

key of light ~Hikari e no Kagi~ (Single)

First single from dance pop group, Vic:cess. One of the songs from this single, “in colorful world,” was featured on Natsu Euro. In fact, all of the songs on their debut single are eurobeat. o_O “in colorful world” was credited to Sumijun in the Natsu Euro, but it’s unknown if he also did the other tracks. The group is produced by Daihei Tanaka, who has contributed tracks to the GuitarFreaks/DrumMania series.

Chou Euro Best

Another release in the DJ Yossy-produced “Euro Best” series, this time with a new label, Full Moon. 8 songs are repeats/remixes/resings, but most of the albums is composed of new material with apperances by Sunplaza Nakano Kun, Nagisa, Shihori and other Euro Best mainstays.
The album is available on iTunes. The CD version is mixed, but it’s unknown if the iTunes edition has full versions. Track lengths are taken from the iTunes version.

Eurobeat cover album featuring reworked versions of idol songs. Of course, there’s the obligatory AKB48 cover, but surprisingly they’ll also be doing covers of K-Pop songs.
Run ‘n’ Gun/Skill (Single)

Price: 952 yen
Second single from the duo comprising Utatte Mita singers Kouhey and Yamadan. “Run ‘n’ Gun” is a new production, while “Skill” is from Super J-Euro Best Mix. Both are produced by DJ Command.
You can order the single from Animate, but they won’t directly ship overseas. Instead, you’ll have to use a middleman service like CDJapan to order the item for you. The single will apparently be made available on Amazon Japan, but it doesn’t seem to be up yet.
