Akiba Koubou presents Utatte Mita Collection

Price: 952 yen
All releases from Akiba Koubou’s Utatte Mita Collection series will finally be available at major retailers. That’s 18 singles at 1,000 yen and 1 album for 1,500 yen. That’s almost $200 for the whole collection. o_O Hopefully they just release them all digitally.
Edit (7/31/13): All of the singles and the album are up on iTunes Japan. The singles are 800 yen each, while the album is 1,800 yen.
J-Pop charge ~Summer Hits~

A new series from Akiba Koubou featuring J-Pop summer hits. Features a lot of repeats from the similarly themed Natsu Euro.
Akiba Koubou presents Utatte Mita Collection
Release Date: 7/24/13
Price: 952 yen
This is interesting. A majority of the Akiba Koubou presents Utatte Mita Collection singles that have been released over the past two years will finally see a wide release this July. The series includes singles from popular utaite like Kouhey, Yamadan, Hanatan, and many, many more. There are 15 singles in all, so collecting them all will cost upwards of 15000 yen, ouch. I wish they were a little cheaper, especially since they only have 4 songs each. Maybe they’ll at least release them digitally. A full list of available singles after the jump.
Update! (6/10/13): Additional titles have been added. Basically, all releases in the Utatte Mita Collection series will be available at major retailers.
Kaiun Densetsu 777 ~Hyper Bonus~
Release Date: 8/7/13
Price: 1800 yen
This Pachislot-themed CD features Eurobeat covers of popular anime themes. In other words, it’s yet another excuse for Akiba Koubou to showcase the same old repeats. The early list reads suspiciously like a lost entry from Tokuma Japan’s Geki Atsu! J-Euro series.
Tenshin Ranman! Anison Cover Mix!!
Release Date: 6/5/13
Price: 1714 yen
Sequel to Hyakkaryouran! Anison Cover Mix!! A few new tracks in the first half, but the second half is loaded with repeats.
Geki Atsu! Pachi Best
Release Date: 1/25/12
Price: 2000 yen
I mentioned this release early last year, but apparently its release was extremely limited, mostly at pachinko halls. I only recently finally confirmed the track list. It’s a best-of compilation featuring the best tracks from the Geki Atsu! J-Euro series. Definitely a rare item to look out for if you’re a collector of AKBK releases.
J-Pop charge ~Summer Hits~
Release Date: 7/10/13
Price: 1714 yen
A new series from Akiba Koubou featuring J-Pop summer hits. Err… didn’t they already release this as Natsu Euro? Featured vocalists include Shihori, Usa, Maki, Kohama, and Mi->Na.
Super Euro Smash Vol. 3
Release Date: 4/27/13
Price: 952 yen
The Super Euro Smash series gets a third release, but unfortunately it’s just a non-stop mix featuring all of the songs from the first two volumes. Kinda pointless, since the previous volumes already had mini-megamixes. There is a new DJ katsu remix of “Our Generation,” though.
The album will be available at Akiba Koubou’s booth during the Nico Nico Cho Kaigi 2 event.
Akiba Koubou presents Utatte Mita Collection Memorial Best
Release Date: 4/27/13
Price: 1429 yen
Another excuse for Akiba Koubou to repeat tracks. Nothing particularly new or interesting on this one, although this one is a non-stop mix whereas I believe previous albums in the series contained full versions.
The album will be available at Akiba Koubou’s booth during the Nico Nico Cho Kaigi 2 event.
Akiba Koubou presents Utatte Mita Collection Mao
Artist: Mao
Release Date: 4/27/13
Price: 952 yen
Eighth wave of Utatte Mita singles from Akiba Koubou, though there’s only one single in this wave. This one features male utaite, Mao. All resings, though “Ready Stead Go” is a pretty recent production.
The single will be available at Akiba Koubou’s booth during the Nico Nico Cho Kaigi 2 event.
Anison “Kamikyoku” Love Boys Mix!
Release Date: 4/24/13
Price: 1700 yen
A new release in Akiba Koubou’s Anison “Kamikyoku” series. Surprisingly, it features quite a few new songs. About 50% of it is new material, while the other 50% includes repeats like “Zankoku.” I’m most excited for “Ready Steady Go” and “Fly Me to the Moon.” Unfortunately, it’s exclusive to Tsutaya for the time being, though it will see a wide release eventually.
Tenshin Ranman! Anison Cover Mix!!
Release Date: 6/5/13
Price: 1714 yen
Sequel to Hyakkaryouran! Anison Cover Mix!! No track list yet, but Akiba Koubou have got to be out of songs to repeat by now.
Update: Early list is out, and so far it’s 4 new tracks and 21 repeats. Sigh. -_-
Anison “Kamikyoku” Cover Mix!!
