Maharaja ’80s Disco -30th Anniversary-
Release Date: 11/5/14
Price: 2315 yen
Well, this is a surprise. Just when I thought FARM were moving towards EDM only, they announce a tie-up compilation with Maharaja. What makes this especially odd is that Maharaja releases were usually Avex’s domain. Anyway, there are 26 songs planned, and apparently they’ll only be using the original versions (i.e., no covers).
Hamaraja Nights Vol. 1

A doujin release by the doujin circle, T&Co. It’s an homage to the old Maharaja Night series, which featured disco-NRG songs. Disko Warp has a few copies of the CD up for sale on their Bandcamp.

Let’s Dance -Super 80s Disco Hits-
Release Date: 12/7/11 ? 12/21/11 ? 1/18/12 ? 2/8/12 ? 3/28/12
Price: 2857 yen
2-disc compilation from EMI celebrating Roppongi disco hits. As with Mogra Mix, this was originally supposed to come out in December, but EMI has postponed the release date a few times before settling on a March 28 release date. Thankfully, they mostly avoided songs that already appeared on Dancemania Sparkle Classics. And unlike Dancemania Sparkle Classics, this release is not a non-stop mix. Instead, it has full-length songs.
The early list didn’t have David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance,” but thankfully the final track list has it as the lead track. 😀
Songs selected by DJ Osshy of Roppongi Nirvana.

2-disc compilation from EMI celebrating Roppongi disco hits. As with Mogra Mix, this was originally supposed to come out in December, but EMI has postponed the release date a few times before settling on a March 28 release date. The delay was probably for the best, or else it would’ve been in direct competition with the similarly themed Dancemania Sparkle Classics. Songs selected by DJ Osshy of Roppongi Nirvana.
J-Pop Disco Densetsu

Both the CD and the digital version are non-stop mixes. The preview video features Shishou Araki, the techno dance queen who also appeared in EMI’s Around 40 Eurobeat commercials.
Disco no Tetsujin
Release Date: 11/23/11
Price: 2095 yen
Sequel to last year’s Disco no Tatsujin (Tatsujin = Master, Tetsujin = Iron Man). Somehow Boys Town Gang’s version of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” makes another appearance despite already being on the first release, but the rest of the track list is different. I believe this CD contains full-length versions, so nonstop mix fans should stay away.
