Debut single from the idol unit, Cherry Farm. They’ll be starring in a mockumentary titled Liquid Fiction, to be released on DVD a week later on 7/21. From what I gather it’s supposed to explore the dark world of idol groups, or something like that. The important thing is that Starving Trancer, MK, and Hommarju are reportedly involved in the film’s soundtrack, and the ending theme is by Ryu*. There’s also a special edition of the DVD that includes a CD with remixes. It’s unknown if the bonus CD is the same as this single.

The 10th anniversary release of the SATB series. The limited edition comes with a figure of the cover model from SATB 2, Yuzuha. Not much info on the track list yet. There’s supposed to be a song from the second season of K-On!, which I assume will be the OP theme.

The limited edition comes with a figure of Hakata-san (Shio-tan), a popular internet character. Umm, okay. I don’t get why they didn’t go with an Exit Trance character.

Not as disastrous as I thought it’d be. 5 tracks from Ecstasy, 4 from Ecstasy 2, and 1 track from Ecstasy 3. The good news is that there are 9 new tracks! I have track 17 listed as new, but it’s been inexplicably plucked from Uma Uma Trance 7.

I’m really surprised to not see “Scatman.” Looks like a fairly interesting mix of tracks otherwise. I do spot a handful of repeats, but it is nice to see the return of Acid=Stone Valley. Still no B.U.S., though, and I’m a little afraid that the Vocaloid artists are starting to take over.

The limited edition comes with a figure of Miko Hutae, the cover girl from UmaUma Trance 3.

The limited edition comes with a Duel Maid figure of Miko Hutae, who I believe was the cover girl for UmaUma Trance 3.

MK has a staggering 7 songs on SATB 9. Meanwhile, Ryu*, B.U.S., Icon, and Dizzi Mystica are nowhere to be found. The first two were probably busy working on their own projects, but I wonder why Icon and Dizzi Mystica were left out?

I’m not sure what the enclosed plastic card is about. It’s not a real credit card, but I do like the alternative artwork.

It’s been almost 2 years since Tragenic #3 was released, so I’m a bit surprised to see Quake resurrecting the series. DJ Yoshinori will once again be mixing, and one of the confirmed tracks is a new remix of DJ Kenny’s “Blue Force,” which previously appeared on Victor’s Trance Rave series. CDJapan also mentions that the album will include covers of songs by Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Scatman John.
